• It says 6" but I would give it a foot since it doesn't vent air. The unit gets extremely hot during operation.

• Yes. You can flush it all the way to the wall. Granted all units have hoses that comes out from the back. Make sure you have a sink with a screen, since the machine will expel lint from the waste hose.
