“Does this combo have the same "issues" with odor/mold in the door seal as the HE front load washers have? Does it require the wiping of the seal after The front load washers have major odor problems, class action law suits, with fix by manufactures being routine drying of the door and gasket after each load, periodic use of cleaning products, replacement of gaskets etc. Owners have repeatedly said despite all the above, the odors/mold continues to be a problem. Is this Combo unit subject to the same concerns/maintenance?”

I follow the instructions religiously and have not had any odor problems, even after a year of use. I use HE detergent only, I leave the door open after each cycle, and I run the "tub-clean" function on a monthly basis, which steam cleans the drum and the seals eliminating any areas of potential odor. After drying, being a ventless washer/dryer combo, clothes lint does accumulate in the door and seal, so you will have to wipe it out after each wash/dry cycle. Considering how much space and energy this model saves me, I am willing to put up with the wiping part. Many thanks.
