My washer is far enough away from the wall and my cabinets that the lid opens easily. If you have cabinets that extend more than 13" from the wall, you would have to place the machine about 6"- 8" from the wall to accommodate the lid's opening. You already have to allow a few inches for the water lines and the effluent line anyway, so you can take that into consideration. I have experienced no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need at least 56"

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.54 1/2" is needed when lid is open all the way. Yes clothes can be put in and removed with the lid folded back. We have an upper cabinet as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I remember doing this a month ago as I had a similar problem but I believe you need at least 54 inches. But im not 100% sure. The hinge does fold up and tuck away nicely giving you a little room to play with if needed on the height.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.54.3 inches
