Just a note that the reason so many people have rated the answer from LG as "unhelpful" is because it doesn't work. The water just automatically drains after a short time.

While this model doesn’t have a dedicated soak cycle, you can still soak clothes manually. To do this, let the tub fill with water and your laundry, then power off the washer to allow the clothes to soak. After soaking, you can turn the washer back on and select your desired wash cycle.
