A:AnswerSalesman said no you have to get the LG one. Don’t buy the pedestal for this unless you have laundry aids less than 6” high. I wasted my money on this. My other pedestal for my other washer could fit the big bottles iof detergent.
A:AnswerI would try plumbers tape, aka pipe tape. Its the telfon tape which plumbers use to wrap the threads of plumbing fixtures. It should give a tighter seal. Hope that works for you.
A:AnswerOnly by using double tape maybe. I would not recommend it myself. Stacking kits from LG or Maytag will not work between two different brands. Unless someone willing to spend time, drill into body of washer/dryer in back and connect them with metal plates for more stability (possibly losing warranty in process).
A:AnswerMake sure you stick with the same brand. I had a Samsung pedestal, switched washer & drier to a LG and even though the dimensions are the same - you will have to have it customized. Best Buy would not make the adjustments to make them work, so I drilled the holes to bolt them together. It is a total racket what the Mfg's do to force you to buy new pedestals. They are rediculiously over priced !

A:AnswerYes, this is the new model. VERY similar to the old. For a short time I had both and honestly they seem very much the same when it comes down to washing.
A:AnswerThis is a tricky question. The manufacturer recommends an additional 4 - 5" beyond the units measurements. I believe this is primarily because of the dryer vent on the dryer, and the water and drain hose on the washer. Basically the hoses should not be kinked. And the dryer needs to use semi-rigid or rigid duct. In my case, the vent connection was a bit of a limiting factor. The semi-rigid duct does not bend well (horrible bending radius). Thus to bend the duct and make the necessary connections i would have needed at least 5 inches. That was more spce than i could afford. I ended up having a handyman rework and lower the vent connectionon the laundry room wall so that the dry is more of a straight shot (very little bend). As a result, i have roughly 3 inches behind the dryer and to the wall. Of moving your home's venting is not an option, please know three are other method like using a retangle periscope duct to connect the dryer and save on the space. Good luck.
