We don't see this with our newer model (4270), but the manual for our machine recommends that the door is left open when the machine is not in use. The 4270 has a kind of stop that holds the door slightly ajar. You might want to try leaving the door slightly open when you're not using the machine (if you're not already doing that).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've not a problem. But, I wipe out the door seal each time, wipe down the inside face of the door itself, and leave the door slightly ajar when not in use. So far, so good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this is my 2nd Lg washer and I've never had a problem. You are leaving the door open when finished aren't you? (recommendation from techs that installed it)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've experienced this with three different front load washing machines, no exception. The only way to combat this is to clean and dry the seals after every wash. Also, do not let clothes sit in the washer after the cycle has completed, this contributes to the mold problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manual for this machine says to wipe the door and seal with a rag after use then leave the door open for the drum to dry, which I've been doing. So far that's working fine for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the WM4270HWA October 2015, and have had no problems with mold after nearly a year, despite the bathroom it's located in being a mildew hotbed. The door has a mechanism that allows it to stay open just an inch or two to allow the seal to air-dry, without the door being fully open and in the way. I also give the seal a quick wipe after unloading in more humid weather, just to be sure it isn't sitting damp too long. There is a cleaning cycle for this model, but I've never had a reason to use it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure, but have been told to leave the door open and that helps with the mildew odor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Leave the door slightly open.
