It depends on how much clothes you put in. When you start the washer, it runs a program where it senses the amount of water needed and fills the tub accordingly. In other words, it uses just the amount of water needed for any given load.

It senses the load then dispenses only the amount of water needed for that load.

Nick, I don't know the actual amount of water. I do know that it uses a lot less water than my last agitator washer. This washer is constantly moving the clothes around and spraying them with water, so they aren't sitting in a full tub of water.
