My water bill dropped by 20.00 the first month. Savings on laundry products has also resulted in 10.00 savings and my electric bill dropped 10.00. For us, the HE was well worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The advantage of not having an agitator is the reduction in the likelihood of items being torn by the agitator as it's happened to me with every agitator type washer I've owned. The lack of an agitator allows more accurate placement of the items in the tub vs. stacking around the agitator. It is very simple to use. The other advantage to a top load HE is the lack of musty smell as in the front loading HE washers. Front Loaders sometimes do not drain well, water collects in the door gasket and develops a musty smell. To remedy this, I lifted the gasket and soaked up the extra water with a towel then wiped the gasket and inside door with a towel wet with white vinegar. I have not experienced this on with my top loading HE machine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been incredibly disappointed in our so called "High Efficiency" washer. It was an expensive LG WT5070CW. Clothes actually come out dirtier than when they went in if you can believe it (soap and white marks). It doesn't do a good job of agitating the clothes of distributing them during the wash. It is often stuck in unbalanced mode, takes a long time for poor results. While soaking, there is no water in the tub; clothes just sit there. You cannot control the amount of water during the wash or how long you "soak." I wish I could trade this back in for a traditional top load washer with a center agitator. We also had many problems with a front loader the 7 years prior to purchasing the LG washer. Maybe we just got a lemon, but I'd get better results going down to a river and washing my clothes against a rock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would rather have the agitator, I believie this is what help clean the clothing, strongly think this is the reason a long with doesn't use enghn water to get clothing clean and smelling good

Ft. 8-Cycle Ultra-large-Capacity High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer - Model # WT4970CW, what I can tell you is that the washer has earned it's label as a High-Efficiency washer because is saves you money! It uses much less water and consumes less electricity that the regular washer with the agitator and as an ENERGY STAR® Qualified unit with a CSA listing, it meets the strict standards set by those testing labs for efficiency. The technology has become more complex, but the buttons are easy enough to understand and actually simply things for you. You definitely should visit your local Best Buy to speak to a Sales Associate and get a demonstration on the ease of use and see the machine's benefits...IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I totally agree with you. The technology that they used sort of limits your options to simply wash clothes. It makes me wonder if all the technology is necessary. All I want to do is wash my clothes. I'm glad that I got the unit, but is all the technology necessary? I'm not fully convinced. I am not able to do some of the things I would like to do with my laundry because the unit has its preset settings.
