QuestionCan heavy duty appliance slider pads be kept under the tower feet for making it a little easier to slide out unit for cleaning the vent or turning off water and unplugging the unit so that you can clean out the filter in the front?

- Answer I placed round felt pads underneath each of the rubber feet. I have a laminate floor and this makes it much easier to slide in and out of the closet that the wash/dryer tower is located in.

- Answer The WKE100HVA has a cord for the washer which has to be plugged into a standard 120V, 60Hz outlet and a cord for the dryer that has to be plugged into a 240V, 60Hz outlet. The dryer should be connected to a 4-hole outlet. The unit will need two outlets. One for the washer and the correct outlet for the dryer. ^Daphane

- Answer The dryer is not ventless. The 4” vent is at 42” (center of 4 inch hole) . And must hook up to your vent connection.

- Answer It actually plays a tune when the washer and dryer are done. You can also set it up to alert you on your phone when a load is finished. You have to download the ThinQ app for that feature.

QuestionCan the doors be changed to open from left to right (right hinged)? Instead of the right to left (left hinged). Because my laundry surface on the left so I need the door to open from left to right. So I don't have to go around the door.

QuestionIs it safe to use this machine on the third floor of a townhouse? Is it possible to place it in a drain pan and anti-vibration pads? Is it possibble to install an electronic valve shutoff kit such as Floodstop? Is it too heavy for upstairs laundry rooms?

- Answer It weight is given at 326 pounds. Does your townhouse developer provide any information on weight limits or perhaps the local code requires a standard. Mine is on the "ground" floor although there is a basement under--no problems. It's probably of similar weight as most full sized stacked washers and dryers. It needs hot and cold water--you should be able to use any shutoff kit you want, as long as the machine can get the water it needs when operating normally. A drain pan should be fine as long as it doesn't create a stability problem. It does need a stable surface. I'd think vibration would not be a problem. Mine is on a standard ceramic tile floor with no issues. The stable floor requirement may mean the usual anti-vibration pads may not be appropriate if they add "give" under the feet. I'd suggest installing it as it comes, with it's adjustable feet, the rubber-type bottom of which keeps it from moving when operating. Make sure it's level and I doubt you would have a vibration problem. Just don't wash a heavy-when-wet bath mat by itself creating a balance problem.

Electric Dryer WashTower with Built-In Intelligence model: #WKE100HVA has 2-plugs as with separate machines, one for the washer and one for the dryer. Electrical hookups for washers and dryers should be placed within 6 feet of the unit. While a minimum height for outlets in a home may very, depending on local building codes, for convenience both outlets should be placed between 34 and 36 inches high. - Answer The top of the door is 33 3/8 inch off the floor, The opening is 30 1/8 inch off the floor, and the diameter of opening is 17 inches. I hope this helps.

- Answer Yes, all of these have adjustable feet on screws, so each corner can be adjusted up or down to maintain stability/level. However, keep in mind that the feet aren't necessarily smooth, so they can rip the flooring if you're trying to slide the unit around (if the flooring is soft or can catch). But once you've established the location, it's just a matter of twisting each of the feet to make sure it doesn't rock, and that it's level.

To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1'' at the sides and 4'' behind the appliance. - Answer Washing and drying times are unusually quick. However are based on factors determined by the machine. It "senses" the amount of clothes and also "senses" when they are dry. I put a pair of jeans and a hooded sweat shirt into the washer on quick wash and it was done before I was done in shower and shaved. Also very quick to dry because of how dry the washer gets them. Yes you can wash and dry at same time. I love the keep fresh option and ease of app use.

- Answer This washer does not store detergent for multiple loads. It dispenses for just one cycle, main wash, pre-wash (if you activate a pre-wash) bleach and fabric softener.

QuestionIs there a separate water line for the steam feature? Can I skip the steam option and not hook it up? This is for a 30 year old vacation condo and we don't need a steam washer/dryer. We don't even have an iron or a hair brush at the beach! Thanks.

- Answer A "Y" adapter is provided so the cold water supply can feed both the washer and the dryer. The only other item needed to connect water to the dryer is a hose. Hose kits are available for situations with steam dryers. I don't know if not connecting the water supply to the dryer would cause a problem or not; or if it might impact the warranty. So many dryers have steam now, I'd say it would be a shame to decide to limit your choices to non-steam dryers when all it takes is one additional hose to connect it as designed, even if you never use the steam feature.
