Hi LJWJ2. A capacity of 3.8 cubic feet is generally considered as being large enough to accommodate most King size quilts, or comforters. The ENERGY STAR® Certified4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer with 6Motion Technology, Model # WM3400CW will accommodate most King size comforters or quilts, it all depends on the stuffing and hoe bulky they are. If the quilt can fit without having to be stuffed into the tub and it has enough room to tumble freely, you will get a good and efficient washing performance...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Although the 4.5 cu is bigger than my previous, I'm more cautious of my load to ensure a longer life of my machine. I only wash 1 thin quilt or comforter. Thicker bedding i will save for the laundry mat. But sheets n blankets are fine and I have not had an issue. Hope this helps
