- Answer No! Unfortunately it requires a newer proprietary pedestal due to their being protrusions in the middle whereas other pedestals have traditionally only had to align the four adjustable legs on the washer. It is unfortunate as the generic pedestal, as opposed to the one that adds another tray for additional clothes washing, isn't universal for 27 inch units.

- Answer The LG - 27" Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer, Model # WDP4* replaced the WDP3* pedestal but they are both designed for compatibility with 27" LG Front Load Washers and Dryers. The only difference between them will be the mounting bracket installation. The WDP4* uses the t-clip installation method. ^Daphane

- Answer The dryer will need a vent to the outside. The washing machine will need hot and cold hoses and attachments that are not included. You can use your old hose attachments from your previous washer, but save them when you get rid of the old one.

QuestionIs there any reason why it takes 60 minutes to wash a normal load? Doesn’t this save on water, but waste electricity?My previous LG washer took 35 minutes. Is there any way to reasonably shorten the time it takes?

- Answer I own this set and agree with you that this seems like a long time for a normal wash. The difference is "normal". I have had my set about a month or so and have used the dickens out of them. If I am washing a small to medium size load, I've had great success with the 15 minute quick wash. You can add more time to that if you wish, but with the availability of water temp and spin speed, it hardly seems necessary. There have been great results with this short wash, but with large to extra large loads, I like to go with a preset cycle.

- Answer It does depend on the configuration and placement of your water and vent (do the water taps stick out from the wall? do you have to switch sides for hose lines?). But in standard cases, LG recommends 6" from the back of the unit to the wall, but I easily was able to install with a 5" clearance.

- Answer Different brands are not compatible for stacking because the feet will not typically line up for securing the units. This washer is designed for use with HS (High-Efficiency detergents. Never use more than the maximum amount of detergent recommended by the manufacturer. You can use liquid or powdered detergent. ^Daphane

- Answer The door on the washer is not reversible. The door on the dryer is reversible. Yes the unit can be installed under counter. There should be at least a little space around the dryer (or any other appliance) to eliminate the transfer of vibration from one appliance to another. If there is enough vibration, it could cause appliances to make noise or come into contact, causing paint damage and further increasing noise. ^Daphane
