Yes, there is enough water to clean clothes. The clothes do get wet enough to get cleaned well. This is my second front loader, had my last one for 13 years. My sons who live in apartments only have access to top loaders with agitators in their buildings. They bring their clothes back home as often as they can not only to save money :) but also because my front loader cleans better than the agitator types.
