To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4 inches behind the washer. The dryer should have a 1" clearance at the sides and rear. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the washer/dryer installed by Best Buy and they left 8inches of space behind both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Six inch’s is probably the best estimate for the room needed behind the washer and dryer as you have the hoses for water and drain on washer and vent hose on dryer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can you run a spin only cycle?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For the washer, you would need 4" clearance to be safe only for the hose connections. They actually don't protrude that far out from the back of the machine. This will prevent undue bend in the hose connections. For the dryer; this really does depend on the dryer hose vent. Again you want enough space so as not to cause a sharp kink/bend in the dryer vent hose. For mine, at least 8inch clearance
