“Does this model dryer with the steam function include both a Y connecter for water intake and a hose to lead from the water source and Y connector to the dryer itself? If not, why not? - since the steam function needs both parts to function.”

It does come with a plastic y connector, but no hoses. I just ended up buying a steam kit from Amazon that came with 2 hoses and another y connector.

The matching dryer DLEX4000B/DLGX4001B must be connected to the cold water tap using the new water supply hose. The Y-connector is an included accessory with a steam model. The hoses are sold separately. ^Daphane
