“When loading/unloading washer or dryer does the door automatically start to shut? Meaning you have to stand in front of it or block it from closing? Or do the doors stay in place while open?”

The door stays open. There are no spring hinges. You might be interested to know that the door shuts tightly but if you try to slam it shut the door will bounce open. I close the door slowly now.

No, the doors do not start to close. The doors on the washer and dryer stay open. The Best Buy men who installed it verified that both appliances were leveled on the floor and checked that doors remained open and in place where I place them.
