High-efficiency (HE) laundry detergent is specifically formulated for high-efficiency washing machines that use less water. Low sudsing and quick dispersing, HE detergent delivers an optimal clean in low water levels. Water Plus allows you to add extra water to the wash cycle. ^Daphane

I use Kirkland UltraClean. Works great. The washer does a great job at sensing load height so the fill is to the top of clothes. A WaterPlus option is also available if you are on well ;-)
