The washer uses load sensing to determine the amount of water needed based on the size of the load. You can use Water Plus option to add extra water to a cycle. If the washer reaches its maximum water level, this button will have no affect. ^Daphane

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There isn't a manual setting for that, it senses the weight by spinning it around at the start and sets it up on that basis each time. The water plus option overrides it to add more water regardless of the sensed load, but a commenter said it then fills it up to the top, which may be wasteful if it's not that big a load. I suppose it might be possible to add water manually during the wash, but don't know if it will sense that and circumvent your efforts by draining it back out again.
