“white "stuff", not lint, shows up on my black clothes, no matter the fabric. It is exactly the pattern of the barrel. Why is this??? I have tried and tried to contact LG with no success via text or phone to get a reference number so Best Buy can fix this.”

We have the same issue especially with fabric/clothing that doesn't 'breathe'. Try using the Deep Fill (more water). It should at least reduce the white "stuff" effect. If it is still there, it can be wiped off with water.
