• Hi! The LG Portable Air Conditioner does not need a drain hose as during Cool or Fan Mode (in low humidity), there should be no need for drainage. The air conditioner is designed to operate with some moisture in the collection tank to help increase its efficiency. As far as an adapter, you can use one. Thank you for your question~ ~Rita
