This model implements LG's TruMotion 120Hz, LG doesn't explain exactly how this works, but basically they are either rendering a new frame and inserting it between 2x original frames or they are pulsing a very short all black frame between original frames. This helps to trick the human brain into thinking the image is not blurred. Without this feature fast action programs like sports aren't actually blurred, but the human brain expects the object like a football to keep moving (not sit still for the entire frame length of time) and your mind processes this as a blurred image. So to the human eye it will appear close to 120Hz.
