If your cable-TV box is plugged into an HDMI input on the set, you just need to use the remote to change the input from the built-in over-the-air tuner to the HDMI input that the cable box uses - typically HDMI 1. The built in tuner typically does not receive cable-TV channels, only over-the air stations, such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox and PBS stations, among others.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My son just connected and reseted the TV and it automatically came up. I have an older LG and as soon as I connected I got a message if I wanted to connect to my box pressed the yes and haven't had any issues
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does the same. Wish I never bought this tv. Bought another tv for my living room (ROKU) found all my channels. Dislike the LG I bought and out of warranty. The only thing I can watch is on my cable box.
