I'm a senior myself. Your hearing is FINE! You must know that the sound quality of ALL flat-screen TV has continuously deteriorated over the years, in no small part due to slim packaging/design of the TVs. That's why today, most people have to buy auxiliary sound systems to hook to their TV, if they wish to have the same sound quality their TV's used to have. Every single one of the 5 TV's I've bought over the past 15 years, have had worse sound than the new ones they replaced. You will not notice much wound improvement going to a larger screen size. Try an auxiliary sound system first (suggest no more than $125) and try it first. YOu'll always be able to hook it up to a larger TV once you buy one... Hope that helped! (pitch the Motorola, BTW)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this 43” LG would be a nice upgrade from a 32” Motorola. It has excellent sound quality as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am hard of hearing & sound is good. Can change closed captioning (CC) to large text and it is awesome. Can reposition text box on screen. Also like most CC you can change color choices and have transparent background. I prefer translucent background. Helps with sports and news. Wish you the best!
