“Initial setup, brand new out of the box. Tv was a black screen and wouldn’t turn on for about an hour. Red light flashed three times. Later it finally came on. This can’t be normal?”

Sounds like a bum unit. Took mine out of the box and plugged into the wall, set up to the internet and was ready to roll in less than fifteen minutes!
