If the sound bar is placed directly in front of the tv it will block the tv The sound bar can be placed underneath it or to the side of it

The closer your soundbar is to your screen, the more it feels like the sound and the picture are connected.Place the soundbar below and in front of the TV. Position the front of the soundbar as close as possible to the front edge of the shelf or stand for best sound quality. Make sure the speakers on top of the soundbar are not blocked.^Vanessa
