No, it won't work as the LG phones home all the time and refuses to work if it can't. Use it as a monitor on a computer you control (search for the FBI warning on smart TVs)

It uses the same bandwidth just like native Nextflix, Youtube and Hulu apps to stream programs from the service providers. However, you can also add your TV to your own network service for added programs and streaming platforms. Note: We recommend having the same network for all your devices.
