The answer to "Can you turn off the Bluetooth? or is it always on?" is the same for any Bluetooth enabled device, regardless of whether it is a smartphone, a TV or Bluetooth headphone. To use Bluetooth, you need to pair Bluetooth devices with each other...^IFV
