The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 49" Class (48.5" Diagonal) 1080p LED TV, Model # 49LF5500 or any TV that is marketed in the US and made for the US market only accepts the ATSC, NTSC-M, 64 & 256 QAM Television Systems and covers VHF 2-13, UHF 14-69, DTV 2-69, CATV 1-135, CADTV 1-135 channels in the US. It will not work on any PAL system. Argentina adopted the Japanese standard ISDB-T, with modifications performed by Brazil which this TV will not work with, but the local cable TV firm Cablevision, which merged with Multicanal uses ATSC for its "Cablevision HD" service which is a system that this TV supports. You may want to contact them to ask if they still use that system or if it will work with the TV...^IFV
