Does the tv need internet connection? null

If you want to take advantage of the smart part like streaming and game you will need otherwise you don't by the way great tv!

No internet connection required. I chose not to and it works fine

the LG is a good television and the color is excellent. yes it needs internet and you will more than your money worth with enjoy ability.
