• You can turn closed captioning on under the "Accessibility" category in the settings. ^CP

• There is a button on the remote control unit labeled "caption' that will turn the captioning system on and off. I don't believe the position of the caption is adjustable. Every captioning system I've ever seen puts it at the bottom of the screen unless there is some important writing displayed on the screen that the writers of the captioning don't want to cover over with the captioning.
