QuestionWill a firmware update ever be available to add the ESPN app to the LG App store? Failure to include an ESPN programming is a serious flaw.

- Answer There are quite a few holes with the LG app store. Besides the big ones like Netflix, the only other app I wanted was Pluto TV. And that isn't available either. When I researched why, I found that LG has their 'version' of Pluto TV and other apps, that they want people to use. Of course how to do you replace Pluto TV and ESPN when your versions don't have any of the same content; not even close? So that is a huge flaw with the LG store. Hopefully their apps will finally fail, and they will open up the app store to the common mainstream apps. Hopefully no other 'politics' reasons not to host these other apps.

- Answer It has 4 hdmi ports and as well it has 3 USB ports as well... This television has an outstanding picture while watching in uhd 4k movies have never looked the same!!!! Great television

QuestionNano 8 Is the audio clear on programs such as Blue Bloods or movies on TCM...We have difficulty understanding the audio on certain programs, but never on live TV or commercials..

- Answer I just got this tv so have not checked out the audio on all channels, but I have the same problem on Blue Bloods and some other channels also, but it is on my Samsung 55 inch TV, so I am not sure the problem is the tv. It is most likely with the channel and not the tv.

The HEVC decoder is required to deal with today’s high-res, high-bandwidth 4K content, and as such, HEVC has become the go-to compression scheme for 4K streaming services, like those from Netflix, Amazon, etc., ...^IFV

QuestionI used "sound sync" with my 2016 LG Smart TV. I do not see the option on this one. With an LG soundbar, I now have to use two different remotes if I want the internal TV speakers in tandem with the sound bar. What happened to the sound sync option?

- Answer I have to use the source sound controls (cable box, etc) to control sound easily. But some devices, like my Roku or streaming to the TV usually make us jump to turn down the soundbar manually with that device's remote. It would be Wonderful if the TV had a central control for all audio coming out of it. Now, I turn the TV sound down to 0, and use the soundbar's volume.

If your gaming console connects via HDMI, the LG NanoCell 86 Series 4K 49 inch Class Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (48.5'' Diag), Model # 49SM8600PUA has four HDMI ports that you can plug the gaming console into. If it connects via the older RCA Composite barrel ports (Red/White/Yellow ports), the TV has a mini AV (3.5mm) Composite port that you can use. the TV comes with a Composite Adapter that you can use for the connection. Click on the '=11 images0 thumbnail on the TV's product page on Best Buy and click on the third thumbnail image in the right column on the page that opens to see the ports in the back of the TV...^IFV
