Lint collecting on the door seal of the ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient / ENERGY STAR Certified LG Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo LG WashCombo™ All-in-One 5.0 cu. ft. Mega Capacity with Inverter HeatPump™ Technology and Direct Drive Motor, Model # WM6998HVA, Lint collecting on the door seal of a washer/dryer combo rather than the filter is often caused by a poor door seal, excessive detergent buildup, or a partially blocked ventilation system. To resolve this, ensure the filter is fully seated, clean the rubber gasket with a damp cloth, run a cleaning cycle, and check for vent blockage. Excessive residue from detergent and fabric softener buildup on the rubber gasket can cause lint to stick to it instead of being trapped in the filter. Wipe the gasket with a damp cloth, using a toothbrush to clean tight spots. If the main lint screen is dirty or the vent pipe is blocked, air cannot flow properly, causing lint to settle on the door. Clean the lint screen after every load. The lint filter must be fully pushed in, and check to make sure there are no gaps where lint can escape...^Ivan.
