Although the two washers have similar dimensions, the pedestals are model-specific and designed to fit the corresponding washers.

The pedestal for the WM2301HR is the WDP3W, while the pedestal for the WM3470CW is the WDP6W. Due to slight design differences, the new WM3470CW model may not fit properly on your existing pedestal (WDP3W) for the WM2301HR.
