  • QuestionMy old LG has to keep the door open so it doesn’t smell musty. Have they fixed that? Nothing takes the smell away but keeping the door open.

    • Answer Sorry, I have not found any front load that does not need to leave the door open to prevent the smell. I think if you used every day you might not need to, but if you use the way most do and run weekly loads, you need to vent the drum since the units are built to seal well and not leak during operation. The same may apply to the soap and softener drawer as well. The units are sealed well enough that any moisture has no why to evaporate.

    • Answer Yes and the time varies depending on how dirty the clothes are. The fastest cycle is 15 minutes, the slowest for dirtier clothes, 25 minutes. You set it. Note that the default heat setting for speedwash is hot. You'd need to enter warm or cold if you don't want hot.

  • QuestionHow long is the drain pipe and water lines? Need to know so I know in case I need to get and extention on drain pipe.

    • Answer The unit does come with a drain line, the length was already cited by LG answers, but it does not come with new water lines, that is either an add on charge if you buy them from Best Buy as part of your purchase, or you can buy most any length from local hardware sources. My local stores had 3', 6' and 10' lengths. You should replace your lines regardless of the condition of your old ones, it is just a good safety measure. In addition, if the 60" drain is not enough, many hardware stores sell universal drain lines that should also work with this device.

  • QuestionI purchased this set roughly 3 months ago. It seems to either stop mid washing on normal setting, at the rinse cycle. It’ll stay there for hours, when it only says 20 minutes on the display. I’ve tried restarting to no avail. Why?

  • QuestionIt was said to use the Settings button on the Control panel to be able to set a wash to soak, when someone previously asking about the ability to soak. I do not see a settings button on the picture of the control panel. Can someone from LG clarify?

However, the option to soak is available under the "Prewash" feature.   • QuestionI scanned the QR code and it says this model isn't supported. I try to add it without the QR code and it says to hold the Delay-Start for 3 seconds but it does nothing. There is no WiFi symbol on the button. The model is WM3470CW so it's the right model.

The design and dimensions of the two machines and their respective pedestals are different, so the WM3470CW will not fit on the pedestal for the WM2801HWA. Therefore, it is not possible to use the existing pedestal for the new washing machine.     • Answer Deja, get yourself a level and some strips of cardboard. take the cardboard and stuff it under a leg of the machine until the leveler says it is level. You want to make sure your machine is level so it won't throw off your barrings.
