“Is there a problem with glass top breaking? How long is it covered in warranty?”

• Haven't heard of any lids breaking. The lid is protected by hydraulics in the lid mechanism to not allow the lid to slam. If you let it go it floats down slowly onto the washer. It is warranted for 1 year
