Are rear speakers wireless null

You plug the left one into an outlet and there is a wire that connects the right/left rear speakers to eachother but they do not have to be connected to the front speakers/soundbar. They connect through Bluetooth.

They need to be connected to each other, and one needs to be connected to the power outlet. However, the connection to the main unit is wireless.
