Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry about the placement of the subwoofer and side speakers for your LG S90TY soundbar. For the subwoofer, while bass frequencies are generally non-directional, its placement can still affect the overall sound quality in your room. It's often recommended to start by placing the subwoofer in the front of the room, to the left or right of the soundbar. Avoiding corners can sometimes prevent excessive booming. The LG S90TY also features AI Room Calibration, which can help optimize the sound regardless of the subwoofer's exact position. You can experiment with different placements to find what sounds best in your specific room. Regarding the side speakers (which would typically be your soundbar's side-firing drivers, as dedicated rear speakers are often sold separately for a fuller surround setup), these are generally designed to bounce sound off your side walls to create a wider soundstage and surround effect. They should face outwards, away from the soundbar, to achieve this intended effect. If you have optional wireless rear speakers, they are usually placed behind your listening position, at about ear level, and typically face towards the main listening area. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-5-1-3-channel-s90ty-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-dolby-atmos-wow-orchestra-black/6620449.p?skuId=6620449 Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further.
