• There is a button to increase the water level but it does not work for all cycles. I just plan accordingly. I really like to have the clothes covered with water

• that's funny you should say that because I just washed my first load and it appears the huge load i had in there was now at the bottom BARELY any water.

• It senses the water level automatically, and it does cover the clothes. I forget whether there's an override, but this shouldn't be an issue.
