Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, this unit does not have a basket on top. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer in White with Turbo Wash, Model # WT7500CW does not have a Soak cycle, but it does have a Pre-Wash + Normal cycle that allows you to prewash stains without needing to hand-wash. To use this feature, you would need to load the items you want to pre-wash into the washer and add the appropriate amount of pre-wash detergent and additives to the dispenser and start the cycle. When the chime sounds, you will then have to press the Pause button to unlock the lid and add detergent for the main wash to the dispenser and insert the rest of your laundry, then press the Start button to start the wash cycle. If the Pause button is not pressed within three minutes of when the chime sounds, the cycle continues. ^CP
