Regrettably, the LG - 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Convection Range - Stainless-Steel Model # LRG3095ST comes with a warning that " if the top burner flame goes out, gas is still flowing to the burner until the knob is turned to the “OFF” position. Turning the knob alone will not cause the gas to flow, The knob has to be pushed in and then turned to the LITE position for the gas to flow, but if the flame goes out while the gas is flowing, someone needs to be there to turn it off...IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about that particular feature but the electronic ignition starts 'clicking' BEFORE the gas starts flowing so I think you would be safe. I'm unable to blow the flame out to see if the gas will cut off but I see no way the gas would start flowing without being ignited unless the ignition system is broken.
