“Add Garment problem— when “add garment” is lit, I am supposed to be able to pause cycle, open top door, and add garment. Problem is, the top will not unlock for me to do so (even though I have paused cycle). Is there an easy fix for this?”

I just press the pause button so long as that 'add garment' light is visible, and doing so will unlock the lid once the unit has come to a stop (loading water, sensing via spin cycle, just started washing, etc). I toss in what I wanted to add and then push the pause button again and locks the lid and starts back up from where I paused it. It's definitely a great feature - especially when you've left the laundry room and see that you dropped a piece of clothing on your way to the laundry room. :)

After checking the water level/temperature conditions for safety, the door unlocks once the wash movement has stopped. This may take several seconds depending on the water level. When a lot of water is in the tub, the door unlocks after water drains to a safe level.- If the temperature in the tub is higher than 113°F (45°C), a short warning chime sounds and Add Garments is NOT allowed for safety....^IFV
