“Does the door lid lock, when it is washing?”

• Yes the door lid locks when your washing. The Wash Start Button doubles as a PAUSE button which after starting if pressed it will PAUSE the wash cycle and Unlock the lid so you can add more clothes. I use this pause button all the time to add more clothes after starting the wash cycle. Overall this washer is excellent.

• Yes, the lids locks. The Door Lock Indicator lights up when the cycle starts and the door is locked. The indicator light stays on until the cycle is paused, stopped or has finished. ^Daphane

• Two washing machines were delivered and both made grinding noise that were so loud I heard it outside and upstairs. Returning washing machines and dryer and purchasing GE products.
