Yes, netflix, hulu, YouTube ect all work well. Not sure on the second question.

The NetFlix and YouTube Apps are already pre-installed apps in the LG - 50" Class (49.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black, Model # 50UH5500. When you're on the home screen, you will see tiles at the bottom of the screen for the apps that you can just click for easy access to those service. If by "hull" you meant "hulu", that is alos pre-installed in the TV. Both the Netflix and hulu apps will require subscription to those services. The YouTube App does not require subscription, you just need an internet connection for it and for the others...^IFV
