• I know for sure that it supports HDR 10 bit so it has to be a 10 bit display.

• I read that it supports HDR10 through software, but apparently it is actually an 8 bit display. Supporting HDR is the important part (it works, I have used it with Netflix HDR content) rather than whether your eyes can distinguish the extra billions of colours between 8 and 10 bit.
