I've owned my lg television for 5+ years, going into 6, and it's the best TV I've ever owned. In the past I've had a magnavox (still going strong in bedroom), a Sharp, also still going after 12+years. But my LG is just as good if not better, ( we hardly ever turn it off), so as far as I'm concerned LG is unparalleled. The only reason I'm buying another TV is to get a larger LG this time. Samsung has my phones and tablets, but for TV it's LG - "Life's Good" ALWAYS !!

The sales rep said if good faith he wouldn't ever confidentmy recommend any other brands..... I like to think i know my stuff about brands and LG was on my radar. Plus the exact same features were available on the Samsung but is was 40" and the same price. I got it on a sale weekend for $399.99, it was on sale and I used a $100 gift card but theñ bought the 5 year warranty so in total it came out to $379.99. A 5 year warranty for a tv that has an estimated life span on 4 years is a safe bet. If only I could pair my Mac Book to the tv without an hdmi cable and then I could stream my cable without requiring a tether.....woukd getting APPLE TV solve that problem. ...does anybody know? I hope this was helpful. I've had only good experiences the month that I've had the LG. A 50" 4k 1080p smart TV for $399.99 vs a 40" Samsung with the same features for the same price, I feel like I got a good deal....FOR NOW
