The TV that was purchased came out of the box working fine, but it has developed an annoying volume bar at some point at the top right that is completely static and separate from the actual volume bar on the right. I have no idea how to get rid of it. null

I believe the extra volume bar may be from your signal carrier (cable, dish, etc). 

Check the settings for your signal provider to see if volume bar display is ON.
