The 49UK6300PUE and the 50UK6300PUE are different technologies. The 49" uses an IPS screen (wider viewing angles, lower contrast and color) while the 50" uses a VA screen (narrower viewing angles, better contrast and color). Google IPS vs VA to decide which you prefer. I personally prefer the VA when it comes to budget entry tv without local dimming.

We have a "U" shaped sitting area and I often sit to the side in a recliner and am very happy with picture quality, depending on how often the wife rearranges furniture my seat is typically 45-60 degrees off center. We do have one power recliner that sits at ~70+degrees and again quality is fine though their is a slight difference between it and directly in front of tv. Hope this was helpful. Merry Christmas

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just purchased the LG 50UM7300 on 5/11/2019.... Of many of it's absolutely terrible conditions... I would say that Viewing Angle is among one of it's worst. Unless you are sitting straight in front of the TV you can not see a clear picture. It only takes moving a couple of feet to right of left and you lose half the screen... It is PITIFUL. I am returning this POS A.S.A.P The other terrible things are picture quality...There is only one good setting and that is on VIVID (in which you loose any Energy Savings) and besides having it on VIVID you must also Crank All the Settings! What a Lame picture... My God... Why did I purchase it? I was told by the LG Sales Person that it had 4x4x4 Croma Pixels and would work with my PC better than most... so not only did I buy it but I paid $100 more than I would on any others in this range. Believe me... My 10 year old Sharp AUQUS 1080p blows it out of the water.
