The difference between the IPS Technology on the 2017 LG 4K UHD HDR Smart LED TV - 49" Class (48.5" Diag), Model # 49UJ6300 and the VA technology on the 2018 LG UK6300BUB 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® series TVs is that IPS gives you wider viewing angles and VA gives you better contrast. Neither technology is inherently superior to the other, they both serve different purposes...^IFV
