A:Answer Usually the flat screen wall mount kits come with more than enough hardware to mount on a wall - lag screws for wood studs (beefy, they are upwards of 4 inches long) and optionally concrete anchors, if you have a concrete or brick wall. Both types of anchors are supplied in the mounting kit. You absolutely *must* place your 4 drilled holes directly into the studs behind the wall (assuming you have a 2X4" drywall wall) - or, if concrete, you have to drill holes in the concrete using an impact driver+concrete bit, and use the supplied concrete anchors instead. If you are going into studs, then you use the lag screws+washers and spacers to ratchet the wall bracket into place thru the wall, deep into the wood studs. Once all 4 are in place and snug, the wall mount aint' going ANYWHERE.
Note that the bracket can be adjusted to match your desired horizontal and vertical arrangement for your TV, independently of where the studs and holes have to be.
Then you attach the TV either directly to the supplied VESA square mounting plate, with matching screws; and then that bracket+TV attaches to the adjustable arm portion of your wall bracket (the part that tilts/swings out, etc). Use 2 or 3 people to hold the TV while you attach the bracket to the adjustable arm.
I bought a basic tiltable/swingable kit from Harbor Freight for $39.00; and it worked perfectly, is robust and strong, and had no problems.
