LG has 240hz refresh rate while Samsung 120hz LG has 1500 motion rate while Samsung 1200. Color wise LG! (for me) Both are good Smart Tv`s, I like the refresh higher cause I like gaming and action bluray films, besides the higher the better! LG uses ips panel, they also provide panels for Sony and some leading Tv manufacturer! (Before its Samsung) Both have amazing picture quality! Samsung has better apps!

Please try again later.i cant tell u really but i ordered the lg ub9500 instead of the samsung if your into 3d with a 4k tv i would think lg would be better to get cause of the passive 3d glasses and they do also upscale to 4k as close as possible like this samsung one i here both tvs upscale great and look awesome i know the refresh rate on the lg is 240 hzs with a clear motion rate of 1500 and i know this samsung is 120 hzs with a clear motion rate of 1200 so i dont know if that would make a differnce for you if u havent bought either one yet but whatever one you get im sure it will be great im getting my lg one delievered on tuesday july 22nd and installed buy geek squad.
