A:Answeryes it is new, i recommend it. i bought one for my oldest daughter for christmas... it was so nice that i went and bought another one a day later for my youngest daughter at college.
A:Answerwell it depends it has a usb port on the back and two hdmi ports so i believe with a direct line from the computer you should be able to use it as a monitor if you wanted to but i do not think you can do anything wirelessly unless there is an app for it on the tv.
